This position will be based in Jakarta - Indonesia. You will focus on developing business for the group in new and existing market segments. You will have the opportunity to grow and succeed the current Director upon his retirement in 2016.

The team size fluctuates with the size of projects as historically the sector in Indonesia has worked mainly for IFI funded projects in which a majority of the team members consist of project based staff. The current core team consists of: - Waste water engineers/specialists - Drainage specialists - Drinking water specialists - Sanitation specialist - And more. Responsibilities The main responsibilities for the Business Development/Sales Manager will be: - Show leadership in business development and strategic development - Generate sales through personal channels and/or initiatives - Coordinate the marketing activities both within the company and across the other segments in Indonesia and in other Business Units - Proactive management of proposals and leads - Help to grow the group in terms of staff, turnover and profitability - Realize a healthy balance of revenue from consultancy and products in both the IFI and private/industrial sectors Main challenge: The main challenge of the job will be to grow the size and diversity of the business and to enable the transformation from a primarily IFI oriented business scope to with a more balanced scope. The intended scope show balance between private water sector clients such as PDAM's, domestic & international industrial clients and profitable IFI projects.

Requirements - Qualified Professional with (University) Degree in engineering, environmental services or another relevant field. - Proven track record in growing professional business in similar circumstances. - Strong affinity with industries such as food & beverage, textile, pulp & paper, chemicals, etc. - Excellent communicator and networking skills with clients, internal counterparts and staff.

  • Working languages are English (and Bahasa Indonesia is a plus) - Able to build and maintain 'trusted advisor' status at director level with clients. - Customer oriented and with a strong existing network in key market sectors and the ability to further expand this network - A sound technical base, knowledge of (waste) water treatment processes is highly desirable. - Exposure to international work and business culture is preferred. - Commitment to sound business ethics, respect, openness, trust and integrity.
